Airborne!

Last night we had the time of our lives jumping, flipping, falling and just acting like kids!  We went to a place called Airborne which consists of several arenas of linked trampolines. Over 75 interconnected trampolines make up nearly 10,000 square feet of jumping space. Play dodge ball, bounce off walls, into foam pits, onto platforms and much more.

Aiden and Taylor had their own special kids area with six trampolines and a foam pit that they could jump and flip into.  I think Aiden is trying to say Rock On and I Love You!
Taylor had a couple run ins with other kids on the trampoline but she loved it so much, I think we will have her birthday party here.

This place is not just for kids.  Thad, Trent, Annie, Jessica, Lauren and I had a blast in the big arena jumping from trampoline to trampoline onto the walls and off platforms.

Even Austin had fun watching everyone bounce around.  As soon as he can walk I am sure he will be running around here too.

My Little Fish

Aiden and Taylor have been taking swimming lessons at Swim Kids for the last 7 months.  Austin just started in January.  They have come a long way.  The first time Aiden went to his lesson, I literally had to pry him off the bench to go to his teacher.  Now both Aiden and Taylor are jumping off the diving board, swimming across the pool and absolutely loving it.

Austin is not enjoying floating on his back, but he loves everything else about swimming.  Here are some underwater shots of Austin and Taylor.

Austin is Jumping

We just set up Austin's jumping chair.  He can barely touch the ground, but he has figured it out.  I am so proud of my little guy.

Austin's ER Adventure

On Wednesday, Austin had a fever off and on all day.  We have been alternating Tylenol and Ibuprofen to try and keep it down.  At 10:30pm that night his fever spiked to 105.9.  This scared me enough that we made the decision he needed to see a doctor.  Of course, everything was closed except for the Emergency Room.  In just a diaper and a blanket I took Austin to the ER.  When we first arrived Austin's heart rate was 188, he was immediately hooked up to a heart monitor. He was crying so hard they could not hear his lungs and was taken in to get x-rays.  The nurse put him in this strange contraption to hold him still.  He was sitting in this chair that held his arms above his head and had plastic shell all the way around him so he could not move.

We spent the next 2 hours waiting for the fever to go down and get the results from the x-ray.  He fell asleep in my arms still attached to the monitors.  When he was awake he loved playing with the cords attached to the monitors.  They were perfect for his little hands to pull.  Luckily he only pulled the cords off his sensor once and the nurse was in the room.

After the x-rays results came in we were told he had RSV.  We caught it early enough that it had not become a very serious case. They suctioned out his nose and sent us home.  We gave him Tylenol for the next day and kept him in just a diaper to help reduce the fever. Monday morning he is feeling so much better, there is a little cough and a runny nose.  It is so scary to see him so sick.  The ER staff was so great and very concerned for Austin.  I hope we never have to go back.

Happy Birthday Thad!

Yesterday Thad turned 35 years old!! It is amazing so much time has past.  It feels like just yesterday we met at the snowboard shop, but it was actually 13 years ago.

I love my husband so much.  He is such an amazing man and has truly blessed my life so much.  Here are some of my favorite things.

1. He has the cutest smile and dimples ever!!
2. He is the best father. The kids absolutely adore him, even Austin will scoot around on his back just so he can watch Dad.
3. He tells the best bedtime stories. The kids want Dad to read them stories, even if he falls asleep mid-book and sometimes mid-sentence.
4. He is an amazing chef.  I love it when he makes dinner, which is most of the time.
5. He puts up with me and makes me laugh even when I am down.
6. When he wants to clean, the house is absolutely spotless.
7. Life is so much more fun with Thad.
8. He loves to play video games with Aiden, right now it is Lego Universe.
9. He will play Pretty Pretty Princess with Taylor.
10. He is just amazing in every way.

Happy Birthday Thad!!!
